Funding models and value capture

We work with our clients to help identify and assemble funding sources for their projects, including a mix of grants, growth funds, rail industry funding and prudential borrowing. We can develop asset ownership models which enable our clients to regain funds through car parks and commercial revenue streams to pay back any prudential borrowing. In addition, we can call on help from others to assist you with finding support for your scheme.

SLC Investments is focused on developing investable structures for new rail assets, as well as seeking to build a portfolio of secondary market investments for private sector investors.

SLC Investments fully complements the work SLC Property undertakes by providing creative and practical advice to help local authorities develop, fund and finance third party rail infrastructure assets in partnership with the private sector.

E-Rail is partner organisation to SLC Property.  E-Rail has developed an innovative methodology that can secure and deliver private sector contributions towards the costs of building new public transport services by capturing land value uplift. E-Rail’s expertise and vision is complementary to SLC Property and provides local & combined authorities with additional options to source private sector funding and deliver new railway infrastructure.
