SLC Property has supported Northumberland County Council with its Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) application to the Secretary of State, marking the next stage towards the reopening of passenger rail services on the Northumberland Line.
The project will see 18 miles of track upgraded, six new stations opened and is expected to deliver economic benefits of up to £470m.

SLC Property work extensively with Compulsory Purchase Orders and Transport and Works Act Orders and can advise both on the scope of a CPO/TWAO and also their implementation in terms of settlement of compensation claims.
AECOM and SLC are working together to provide multidisciplinary project management, design, operations and advisory services to deliver the design phase of the Northumberland Line.
